Backyard Wedding in Breckenridge Colorado
Seamless, honest, effortless.
Kristin and Scott's wedding felt so right. so pure. They rented a house for all of their friends and family in Breckenridge, Colorado and had their ceremony in the backyard, surrounded by aspens and pine trees. It was perfectly intimate in this way that made Nate and me feel like just another part of the family.
From our first conversation over beers at a bar, to our adventure shooting engagements on the cliffsides of Colorado National Monument, to climbing a steep scree slope in their wedding attire, the connection with these two was immediate and familiar. Kristin & Scott are open-minded, eager for adventure, and incredibly sensitive in the way they treat each other. Its a seamless balance between inside jokes and tender moments of care. To say it simply, their love is inspiring.
They artfully crafted each aspect of their wedding day to represent their unique story together, as well as their individual personalities. Kristin's Anais Anette gown was one of the most intricate and beautiful gowns I've ever seen, and Scott's dapper style represented his cool & laidback aura. I don't mean to gush too much about the small details over the meaningful moments that happened on their wedding day, but all of it seemed to contribute to a larger picture of the attention to detail these two take for their lives as a whole and the way they intentionally care for their community.
At the end of the night as Nate and I were packing up to go home, Kristin & Scott offered us the last bit of a special reserve bottle of wine they had purchased just for their wedding day. As if we didn't already feel like family. The thing that I love about these two is how open and selfless they are â on a day that's just supposed to be about them, they choose to give to those around them.
