Engagement Photos at Enchanted Rock in Austin Texas

Eden & Rob are getting married next summer in Colorado and when they reached out to us, we found out they're from Austin, TX. Which was perfect, because Nate's parents live there and we were going to be visiting, so we scheduled some engagements with them while we were there. We took them to one of our favorite places in the entire world, Enchanted Rock State Park. Its one of the most interesting landscapes I've ever seen and I've been dying to do a shoot there, so when they agreed to drive almost two hours with us to the park, I was pretty excited. Eden & Rob are total champs and hiked all the way to the top with us, embracing the heat and sweat, and cooled down at the top with a nice breeze and a can of cider.

We hiked around and enjoyed the views, all the while chasing butterflies and admiring the blooming desert plants. This shoot is one of my favorites we've done thus far because the landscape really defined our shots, and gave us an opportunity to be creative with composition. And I forgot how insane Texas sunsets are. We sat from afar and snapped shots of Eden & Rob as they enjoyed a glass of wine while the sun went down.
