Rocky Mountain National Park

Heather and Zach are one of the most inspiring couples we've had the chance to photograph. We spent the day exploring Rocky Mountain National Park with them, which afforded us an opportunity to take it all a bit slower. We enjoyed just getting to know Heather and Zach as we talked about life and shared stories with each other while hiking and driving around the park. Even though Nate and I have been married for some time now, we found ourselves challenged and inspired by the way these two respect and support each other. 

Later on a storm blew in and the temperatures dropped significantly as we reached higher elevation. Normally we'd turn back in this instance, but we were way too drawn to the moody shadows and texture in the coming clouds. Heather and Zach embraced the cold (and each other) and we captured some really sweet moments as the two attempted to keep warm. 

Needless to say, we can't wait to shoot their wedding.
