Buena Vista Colorado Elopement

An elopement in the truest sense of the word. Just two people who don't want all the fuss and are too in love to wait to plan a wedding anyway. Julio & Holly were guests at a wedding we shot a few weeks prior, and contacted us to photograph their simple elopement in Buena Vista, Colorado. I love elopements like these, where its such a true representation of the couple's personalities. Holly bought her dress at a consignment store, made her own bouquet, and wore her grandmother's fur. These two wanted to celebrate their adventurous story in a place that held meaning to them. We scouted an area called Aspen Ridge just outside Buena Vista and found a meadow clearing that had wide open views of Mount Antero, the fourteener they got engaged on (and nearly got caught in a lightning storm on).

The aspen trees were in full bloom & the weather was perfect. These two giggled and shed tears as they read their vows. They kissed & danced, popped champagne, and we spent the rest of the evening running around in the woods and eating tiramisu by a campfire.

One of the photos from Julio & Holly's elopement was featured on LooksLikeFilm. See the feature here.
