Colorado Fall Engagements on Independence Pass

Megan & Bobby flew in from Texas for the weekend to meet us in the mountains for some photos. We had originally planned to go over the pass and into Aspen, but because of a random September snowstorm, we decided to stop at the top of Independence Pass and play in the snow for a bit instead of going all the way over.

It was windy & cold and felt like we'd entered a different world. As the clouds cleared the mountains started emerging and it just reminded us of how small we are in the midst of all of the vastness, which felt even larger because of the snow & fog. Colorado in the fall is something magic, and getting to experience the true changing of seasons with these two was an incredible experience.

These two are getting married next spring in Texas and we're stoked they're bringing us along for the story. We didn't know these two before we started doing wedding photography, but the spot where they're getting married ironically is just a few minutes away from the house where I grew up. We're excited for old stories & new stories & another heckin' good time with these two in April.
