Alison + Garrett // Torres Del Paine
Patagonia. Wildly windy, intimidatingly beautiful—an unreal landscape filled with crazy animals like Guanacos, Huemuls, Pink Flamingos, and Ñandus (go look all these up, it’s mindblowing). Turquoise rivers snaking through dry meadows, mountains that look like they were drawn by Dr. Seuss, rivers falling down cliffs—it’s otherworldly. Because of its remoteness, it’s not the easiest place to get to or travel within. So to convince someone to buy the expensive flights and deal with all the logistical problems to go on a trip there with you, that’s when you know they’re good friends and they’re up for a wild adventure.
Victoria + Garrett // Patagonia
Patagonia – the most adventurous and wild place for some post-wedding bride and groom photos. This backpacking bridal session shot in one of Argentina’s most beautiful landscapes was inspiring and unforgettable to say the least.
Intimate Wedding in Sedona with a Sunrise Day-After Session
We headed out up a cliff before dawn with headlamps guiding our hands and feet as we pulled ourselves up a steep slickrock trail. The day prior to this we were dancing and celebrating and eating cake as Tiffany and Nathaniel had just said “I do”. Their whole wedding weekend was wildly romantic. There’s something quite lovely about a stringlit dinner with all of your closest friends while the sandstone cliffs in the distance glow in the moonlight.
Snowy Session with the Modern Caravan
There is so much to admire about these women. Kate and Ellen (and their daughter Adelaide) are the women behind The Modern Caravan, a custom Airstream renovation and design duo. We’ve been following their work since before we started on our own Airstream renovation and have found endless inspiration in their craftsmanship and eye for design.
Wild Elopement in Moab Utah
Hannah and Collin’s adventurous elopement in the Moab desert was embodied by an epic sunset and stunning landscape views. We started the day at Dead Horse Point and ended the day on a ridge as the alpenglow lit up the desert towers.
Windswept Day-After Session at Rocky Mountain National Park
The day after their wedding at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, we adventured with Carly and Jon to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park for some wild portraits in the windswept landscape.
Adventurous Colorado Elopement
Ashley & Bradford had a first look in a sunny clearing with aspen trees surrounding them in the valley below Mount Bierstadt, Colorado. We hiked around a waterfall and followed Ashley & Bradford’s disposition as they danced in the falling leaves and played in the water. They said their vows in a meadow with a creek running through it before hiking through the views of Guanella Pass.
Elopement at Canyonlands National Park Utah
There is a magic to the desert that is impossible to truly understand until you’re standing 800 feet up on a cliff feeling the updraft from the canyon below, seeing the colors of the sunset dance across the vast open sky. Its ethereal—the way the space carries sound, the way you can feel entirely alone and yet connected to all that surrounds you. I will never, ever get over the way it feels to stand so small in a place so encapsulating like Canyonlands National Park.
Mountaintop Elopement in Aspen Colorado
We started Anna and Martin’s elopement with a first look in a wooded forest near Aspen, Colorado. From there we followed the two of them as they explored a granite cave carved out by ice, and walked along the wild, undulating curves of the cascades on the Roaring Fork River. We continued up the pass from there to the top of a mountain where we met their friends and dogs to have their ceremony.
Bonneville Salt Flats Engagement Session
When we arrived at the Salt Flats, we were all pretty blown away by just how huge the place was. Its a wild landscape—one that makes you wonder why and how, and makes you feel small in comparison. Aside from the wide open views, the way the tiny salt crystals form patterns was pretty mind-blowing. And even in the midst of the vastness that is the desert in the West, Mara & Chris’s candid affection for each other wasn’t lost among it.
Adventure Wedding on a Colorado Fourteener
Of all the weddings we’ve been part of, this one takes the cake for most adventurous. Since starting our business, I’ve dreamed of shooting a wedding on the summit of a Colorado “Fourteener” (local verbiage for mountains that extend above 14,000 feet in elevation). Colorado Fourteeners can be intense – they generally require an alpine start in the cold before the sun is up, there can be afternoon thunderstorms, they can involve scrambling and technical climbing, and the hikes are always unrelentingly steep. In other words, the perfect spot for an adventurous elopement for some Colorado locals like Monique and Craig.
Backyard Wedding Weekend in Maine
Hannah and Ryan’s intimate wedding on a pond in Bethel, Maine represented their family, their values, and their unique love in a way that was so personal and intentional. Hannah got ready in her family’s home that was built in the 1800s and they said their vows in the woods by a lake. All the guests stayed in the lodge nearby. There was a candlelit dinner of tacos and wine under the stars. There was dancing under string lights and a cake covered in greenery. It felt like one big family dinner, but a little dressed up with vintage candlesticks and wildflowers.
Fall Elopement in Breckenridge Colorado
Danielle & Cody eloped at Sapphire Point, an overlook on Lake Dillon with wide open views of the 10 Mile Range surrounding Breckenridge. They said their vows in front of their parents and Danielle’s three girls.
Intimate Bohemian Wedding in South Lake Tahoe California
A beautifully free and adventurous wedding near the shore of Lake Tahoe including a hiking first look and the sweetest pups as groomsmen in the wedding party.
Arapahoe Basin Wedding in the Mountains
Kelsey and Cody and came from Nebraska, along with their friends & family, to say their vows amidst the alpine tundra and tall pine trees that make up the landscape above 11,000 ft in the Rocky Mountains. Arapahoe Basin is a busy ski resort in the winter, and in the summer they allow weddings at a restaurant high up on the mountain, accessible by chair lift. Its an experience all of its own to be there
4x4 Wedding | Ouray Colorado Adventure Elopement
Never has a wedding felt more wildly adventurous and still so intimately personal at the same time.
Kylie and Eitan's family traveled from all over the U.S. to a secret little corner of the mountains in Ouray, Colorado to explore dirt roads, hike through wildflowers, and ford a creek – all in suits and dresses.
Outdoor Wedding in Crested Butte Colorado
We met Jonathan & Kathleen several months back at a brewery. We talked about work and life over beers, and Nate and I walked away that evening inspired by the lightness and humility these two carry with them. Their wedding reflected all of that just the same. It was simple, yet stunning. Small & intimate, yet warm & important. Kathleen & Jonathan curated their wedding day to represent the most special parts of their lives—their families, their love for food & wine, and their adventurous & lighthearted love for each other.
