Lauren + Will
Mountain Elopement near Telluride, Colorado
Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado -
A foggy, perfectly cozy fall day way up high in the Colorado mountains. Lauren + Will, two people very familiar with the spectacle of the public eye as broadcast journalists, decided to elope just the two of them.
We love days like this one.
Nestled against tall pine trees and set into an overgrown lawn of native wildflowers, their canvas tent served as a respite against the intermittent rain that morning. The rain cleared just in time for the ceremony, so we escaped during the clear window and huddled in front of a rustic wooden chapel set into the trees.
The clouds lingered and gave us soft light all day. It felt romantic, intimate, quietly beautiful. Luckily, the weather mostly stayed hidden in the clouds, and we spent the day hiking through the woods, clinking glasses, and staying cozy in the rustic Dunton cabins.
