Trinity + Xinnan // Moab Utah

Canyonlands + Arches National Park Elopement

MOAB, UTAH -

A full day exploring. Our favorite kind of elopement.

First was sunrise in Arches National Park for a first light first look, then a short hike into a canyon. Next was a lunch time picnic at their luxurious glamping tent at Under Canvas. Then their ceremony in Canyonlands National Park, where we stayed to watch the sun go down over the cliffside.

Trinity + Xinnan had never been here before. They flew in from NYC the day before and drove the four hours to Moab in a Jeep, then woke up before the sun to start getting ready. I think we all cried a little bit during their first look because of how stunning it was, to be among the light hitting the sandstone towers was that morning. There’s nothing quite like that. A silk gown glittering in the light, in a landscape so foreign and so massive.

So we spent the morning exploring, marveling, snapping photos. After a hike through a narrow canyon in Arches, they returned back to their tent at Under Canvas for a bit of rest. We met them there in the afternoon where they got ready together again and sat for a picnic in the sun before heading out to their ceremony site in Canyonlands.

Canyonlands is one of those places that I will simply never get over. No matter how many times we visit, how many couples we photograph there, how many early morning sunrises or late evening sunsets we watch there. That feeling of standing on the edge of a massive cliff, overlooking an unbelievably huge canyon — is there anything else more exhilarating?

Trinity + Xinnan committed their lives + hearts together right there on the edge of that cliff. What an incredible way to marry your best friend.
